Some of you might be wondering why I hadn't had any post since the first chapter, and you also might be wondering why there is a picture of cough syrup above. Well, the reason is this, unfortunately for me, after I was done with Chapter 1, I fell terribly ill and had cough, flu, and even high fever, poor me. So yeah, I was so sick that I didn't even have the energy to type Chapter 2.
Then again, you might be wondering how long I was sick. It lasted for 2 weeks, after that it was the beginning of the June Holidays and I had school to attend during the first and second week and by the third week I had to go for the AlphaKidz Community Involvement Programme, so yeah, finally I get to add on a chapter! I would love to split this entire post into even more chapters but I think it'd be best if I just put everything that happened in this chapter so that Chapter 3 would be something different!
You might be wondering what's this table all about, this is my schedule for the entire month of June and what I plan to do everyday, except for weekends. The first and second week is kind of like my study week. If you look closely, (actually you don't have to look closely, it's kind of obvious), there's this week (week 12), the entire week is highlighted in RED. Just to let you know, it's the week that I spent in AlphaKidz, such a memorable week. With effect from tomorrow it'll be officially the last week of the June Holidays for students who go to public school in Singapore :( I find that even if there's a 1 month holiday it's never enough... Oh well, life still goes on.
First 2 weeks of June Holidays didn't felt like holidays at all, I spent the 2 weeks studying (YES, I REALLY DID STUDY IF YOU THINK I'M FAKING IT). *Pats myself on the back*
I still remember I took this picture when Dominic came back from Hong Kong with his gifts that he bought us during his stay at Hong Kong Disneyland, will upload the pictures of the gifts he brought back and told me and a few other friends to meet up at Starbucks to collect it! There's even an Electric Angry Bird Fan! Cool right.
Guess where this picture was taken at, just a random guess would do.
(CLUE: It's a huge place where people like to hold mega events)
Another clue: It's rather near to the Singapore Flyer, have you guessed it yet?
If you guessed Suntec City, you're absolutely correct! Went there for the IT Fair Show on Saturday to get my Grandfather the latest Motorola ATRIX Phone! You might be thinking why he needs such a good phone, but the truth is, I myself have no idea. HAHA.
Took the bus back home after the show because Mummy was scared of the heavy traffic and decided not to drive but from the looks of it, the road wasn't really that packed until later in the afternoon like 3pm-4pm and we went like really early and left at about 1pm.
This was one of the free gifts they gave when you were the the first few who bought something there, they also gave an angry bird plush toy! I'll also upload it some other time :D It's like so freaking cute!
Went out on one fine Sunday where I had to teach the others about their F&N coursework, caught X-Men: First Class after that, I was kind of unwilling at first cause I don't really like these kind of action pack movies but I gave it a try and realized it was okay but the ending totally hinted everyone that there might be a sequel, which I'm not looking forward to, I won't want to see X-Men: Second Class.
My Name Tag! I miss it so much, it represents me during the whole AlphaKidz Programme. If you're wondering who's the girl in orange, her name is Ivy. To sum it all up, although it was a 8am-6pm for 5 days which is almost equivalent to 50 hours and above including of all the energy and vocal energy that was used up to talk, manage and handle all the different situations you get with children from the age of 7-9 years old, it seemed quite challenging but I managed to overcome it and I definitely feel proud of myself for being able to handle children, before the programme I thought I was going to fail as a leader but it really helped me in communicating with children and the ways to handle different situations, I really learnt a lot and benefitted a lot from the whole programme as well. I'm not sure if I might go next year but if my schedule allows it, I wouldn't mind going for a second time!
Oh yes, I forgot to mention, at the end of the whole programme they also gave away this cute and nicely designed goodie bag! Almost all the other volunteers felt the bag was nice, even I felt it was nice!
Just some random picture at the Rail Mall, haha, get it, Random Thoughts, so Random Picture! Hey, I just thought of an idea!
Finally to end off this chapter with a picture of me SMILING to my Panasonic Lumix LX-5 Camera! :D
