Chapter 15 : Ivy's Birthday

The girl cutting the cake is Ivy, we just celebrated her birthday yesterday! It was a blast albeit the short amount of time we had. Just updated to share a few pictures taken.

Chapter 14 : I am an N.E.mation Ambassador Finalist! #nemation6

Hey guys! I feel like I want to shout it out loud as I am super hyper right now, remember the N.E.mation competition I wrote about in one of the chapters for the month of July? (The link's below just in case you're wondering what it's all about.)

Well, just not long ago I checked my e-mail (usually I don't bother to check cause it's all been cluttered with Facebook emails that I can already predict what's in my e-mail inbox) but it is always recommended to do often checks cause you never know as you might just get an unexpected e-mail from the N.E.mation people regarding being enlisted as one of the finalist for the N.E.mation Ambassador!

I'm still flabbergasted when I read the Title of the e-mail - "You are an N.E.mation Ambassador Finalist!". Even when I'm typing this post now, I'm like smiling all the way, never had I ever been this happy before. The last time I was this happy was when I was in Primary School, this girl came up to me and told me I was cute, I was young, I didn't knew what she meant by cute but anyway, so I'm here to talk about my thoughts and aspirations of being enlisted.

So let's start shall we, ever since the day I pressed "PUBLIST POST" for that competition, I had never expected to be enlisted cause I thought these kinds of competitions would usually be for those experienced bloggers or for those much more mature bloggers as I'm only like a secondary school student, what could I expect out of a mega competition like N.E.mation, I only thought it would be like a hope for me to be enlisted never had I expected that I would receive that e-mail as I thought there has to be at least a few other candidates that must have done totally better than me as I'm not that experienced as this is kind of like my first blogging competition. I've never faced such an interesting competition like this, when it comes to blogging it would just be usually me and my thoughts but now I guess I will be able to widen the range of items that I will be able to discuss with my readers(if any) as I would be going behind the scenes of the N.E.mation 6 that is usually taken part by schools where they would have to come up with an animation video story regarding the theme of N.E.mation this year which is "NS: From Father to Son", so basically this year's theme is all about National Service that all Singaporean men have to go through one day which most likely revolves around the father and the son, most probably I have a feeling it's kind of the one generation to another kind theme and I'm sure it's going to be interesting as I would be some what a "journalist", that's how I see it, and attend their workshops and at the end of the day I'm suppose to write about how the entire event or workshop went out.

One of the things that I would be looking forward to as an N.E.mation! Ambassador is that I would be exposed to how journalism is like in the real world where you have to be on the ball at all times and you cannot be missing out on the major things that are happening, you have to also keep track of time, make sure that you get a 360 degree point of view from all angles and aspects as you don't want to miss out any of the latest happenings and most importantly the results! Another thing that I look forward to the most would be meeting the other nine enlisted ambassadors, making friends with them and learning from each other, it's surely going to be an interesting competition where bloggers or other forms of people using different media can get together to talk about the same event and share with each other our experiences. Lastly, the thing that I'm looking forward to the most would be the grand prize, it's rather attractive I must say. I mean who could resist a trip to the United States of America along with S$500 and you get to take pictures with a Canon DSLR Camera entirely sponsored by Canon?! This is definitely enough to whet my appetite, it's like my dream to grow up and visit the USA one day, and I believe this could possibly be the chance where I get to fufill my dream at last! Well, even if I don't win this, I'm still a winner, I won't be going home empty handed because I gained experience through this event and this memory will probably last with me forever.

Chapter 13 : Cars 2 Craze

Hey guys, just got back from watching Cars 2 in IMAX 3D! Watched the special preview organised by Shaw Lido and I only have one word to describe it, AWSOME! You might be thinking it's a kiddy show and all, but it's not actually, they somehow manage to have an even mix between a children's cartoon with a real life twist in it which makes it interesting.

If you're going to watch it when it's officially released in our Cinemas on the 25th August 2011, I totally recommend you to either watch it in IMAX, the image that comes out from the screen is fantastic, this is my first IMAX movie and it will totally leave a great memory for you, the images just come out from the screen, I'm too lazy to explain to you why it's better so go read up the link here, http://3dvision-blog.com/what-to-choose-imax-3d-versus-reald-versus-dolby-3d-for-3d-movies/ to find out why IMAX is better. Although it's much more expensive compared to a normal 3D movie, but it's worth every penny for it. If you're wondering what's Cars 2 is all about, what I can say for now to not spoil the movie for you is that Mator, The Tow Truck, plays a much major role in Cars 2 compared to Lighting McQueen.

I was so hyped up about the movie that I even participated in one of their facebook competitions they have ongoing till the 8th September and I made it into the top 10 for the Cars 2 Race competition! The top 10 will receive a poster signed by the director himself, mini-tools kit with LED light, watch and a luggage tag. The ultimate winner gets himself a pair of tickets to Italy, how awsome is that however anyone can just join in and knock you down from the top 10, so from now till the 8th, there is a high possibility that I might be knocked down!

Chapter 12 : End of Prelims!

It's official! My prelims has ended with effect from today! But it isn't a good thing, cause this means that my real exams are coming closer, this means that I'll be facing stress again, and when I'm faced with stressed, I won't feel good nor look good.

Hahs, I had nothing to add on to that, change of topic! Did you see The Pupil 2 last night? It was rather refreshing to see such reality shows hit our TV screens, I doubt anyone could believe it was a local production, it somehow had that kind of US kind of TV Serial pattern, don't you think so? I thought so, the best part of last night's episode was to see Tan Kheng Hua act as Shirley Wu (I can't believe I still remember her name.) She has great acting skills, it seemed so real that even I was shocked at the way she carried out her role although she isn't one of the lead actors, been some time since I last saw her onscreen, I think The Pupil is definitely the best way to make a comeback for her.

Ehh, enough of the lawyer chit chat, if I have nothing on tomorrow, most likely I would do a longer post! Well, guess that's all I have for today.

Chapter 11 : Back again!

I know, I know it's been like a super long time since I've been writing, been busy with lots of things, you can't blame me right? My schedule so tight (FAKE). Currently having my Prelim Exams, although it doesn't feel like one, it's like super rush. Just this morning I only had my mother tongue paper and now I'm like here typing to you, awsome right. Next whole week I doubt I will have the time to blog so yeah, you'll have to wait for the week after next week. Next week is like Prelims straight like a bullet train, once it's over, cannot slack, cause it's only Prelims, boo. No worries, the future posts will be more interesting, I've planned out how to go about for the upcoming post so don't worry about the lack of update now, I'll compenstate!

I think I should like put a Cbox, cause nobody is like using the comment system, either you guys don't know how to use which is like impossible or you just don't like to comment using blogspot's way. I shall put it up soon, but do comment otherwise it just means that nobody's reading my blog and I'll forever be unaware if I don't put a Cbox up.
