Chapter 77 : Up Up Up!

It's been quite awhile since I've been back in Singapore after my Genting trip and I just finished editing these photos specially for this post! Here it is, the long awaited, Genting Trip Post. My classmates and I have been planning and anticipating this trip for awhile now and it took a lot of time and planning before it became a reality, we went through plenty of obstacles and when I say plenty, I really mean plenty. 

But it's all good now, we made it up there anyway and we had loads of fun. Although I have to say, 3 Days and 2 Nights were kind of short, 4 Days and 3 Nights would have been more sufficient since there were so many things to do there. We missed out on Snow World and Indoor Theme Park.

Stayed over at Shao Ming's with the guys the night before we left for Genting, I didn't really get much sleep cause I knew I would definitely be sleeping on the coach itself for the entire ride and I really did that.

First Stop: Yong Peng

First thing we did when we alighted from the coach was obviously to check in, and the cool thing about Genting now is that there's this "Check-In Kiosk" that lets you check into your hotel room using your passport, saves you the time to queue up, however the sucky thing is that you can't really choose your rooms, especially if you are booking more than one room, so we decided to do it the old fashion way by heading to the reception to allocate us our rooms.

Doesn't look that appealing, doesn't it, I know, I didn't really spend much time editing this.

I guess you can say we were frequent visitors of Starbucks at Genting due to the WiFi access there, I loved eating their Chocolate Banana Cake although I only ate it once.

We even had a chance to try out Archery, I wasn't really that good at it because I kind of put my energy at bowling and we did archery straight after we finished bowling... Can you imagine the strain.

We even took the cable car down and back up again just for fun.

For our second day, we went to the outdoor theme park, nothing much has changed there but there has been some work going on there, most likely there's going to be a new addition to the outdoor theme park coming up. It was sooooooooo fun, especially with friends, most likely because I'm an only child and most of the time when an only child goes to Genting, your parents leave you at the LAN Shop to play all day or you just play the indoor theme park cause it's safer. Glad to have gone with my friends.

For dinner, we headed for the International Buffet, they have most of the basic cuisines from local (Singapore & Malaysia) to Japanese to Western.

We ate to our heart's desire, that's one thing for sure.

We tried staying up late on the second night but kinda failed at it. Next day, we packed our bags and headed back to Singapore, it was fun while it lasted although I slept throughout the bus ride home again. Went for dinner at Macs and went home to sleep!

Chapter 76 : D-E-M-I

If you missed out on my previous post, I mentioned that I was going to attend Demi Lovato's concert and it was my first concert that I ever attended, one word to describe the experience? Humid.

It was humid everywhere, a lot of people either felt too warm or didn't have enough air during the concert or was just too dehydrated, it was such a sad sight to see people being brought out of the concert because of those reasons but none the less I had a great time at the concert although one point after seeing so many people being brought out, I myself felt like being brought out too for fresh air.

Tiffany Alvord attended the concert as well and as you can see in the picture below, outside of Candylicious, where she was there for a photo taking session for just awhile, I was in the queue and suddenly there were just too many fangirls that Tiffany just ran away...

 Patiently waiting for the concert to start, we waited since 4pm, when the concert starts at 8pm and worse of all, she came at 8.40pm-9pm.

Tiffany Alvord signing autographs inside of the arena, some people even let her sign their phones... That phone's gonna be worth a lot of money now ^^

There were lots of rich kids on the VIP stage and they had posters and they were kind enough to use their huge posters to fan us cause it was really very warm like some kind of sauna and there were so many people, lmao. Like seriously, at one point I really felt that there wasn't anymore fresh air...

The encore performance for the night was none other than "Give Your Heart A Break". She even sang a country song and one of her recently released song, "Heart Attack". However, my favourite performance of the night was "Fix A Heart", it's a very slow song but yet it's kinda nice. I also just realised that Demi likes to have the word "Heart" in most of her song titles.

That's how we wrapped out special night with Demi Lovato, after that we went for Mac at HarbourFront Centre and went home straight.

PS: To the Hardrock Cafe Security/Resorts World Security, you need to improve on how you make people queue up, form a proper line than living a giant gap inbetween lines, and provide shelter for your queues...

Chapter 74 : Marching into the middle of March

The holidays are coming, I bet the secondary school and junior college students can't wait for it to arrive to have a good rest for that one pathetic week before continuing a new term that lasts for 8-9 weeks before their next break.

It's the middle of March, just here to give a little update on what I will be doing during the March Holidays.

#1 - BACK TO OLD SCHOOL

I'll be heading back to my secondary school on Monday to collect my testimonial, just a short trip, maybe stop by and say hi to a few of the teachers. However, the main idea is just to get my testimonial :)

#2 - DEMI LOVATO CONCERT

Spending next Monday night with Demi Lovato and her vocal chords, listening to her songs live at Hard Rock Hotel with my classmates, I could say that Demi Lovato would be my first concert I'll be attending, although I really wanted to reserve it for Glee but I doubt they'll ever come to Singapore, but I'll definitely make my way to New York to watch Glee Live! in future, one way or another, it has to happen.

#3 - BACK TO NEW SCHOOL

Albeit I'm no longer in secondary school, I'm moving on to my new school and since it's "new", I also need new stuff related to my course which is why I'll be going to Ngee Ann on Tuesday to download the software needed for my course, gives me a chance to explore more of the campus since I won't be attending the freshmen camp due to item number 4 below.

#4 - GENTING TRIP

This would be the highlight of the week, it's been a while since I travelled overseas (not including Sentosa), even to Malaysia, I guess the last time was back in 2010/2011, can't really recall. I just can't wait to enjoy the cooling weather, the exciting rides. Speaking of Genting, there were a few opportunities for me to go last year with Nuffnang but I couldn't cause I was busy studying and preparing for O levels :( But it's alright, this trip will make up for the countless number of opportunities I missed out last year.

That pretty sums up my March Holidays, the weekend will definitely be used for resting when I get back from Genting. I will definitely do a Genting Trip blogpost, so do look out for that!

Chapter 73 : Caught In The Storm

We've all been caught in the storm before, I mean figuratively. We all have that moment where we just want to lock ourselves in our rooms, play sad music and bottle up all our problems and not let anyone know because you think no one else would understand you for various reasons. We then start to think a lot, reflect about everything that has happened and start to realise that you've become a mess and that your whole life is a mess too and you just want all your problems and feelings to just fade away for the moment.

You then start to wonder how long of this bullshit you can take before you really have an outburst cause you can't take it anymore and every minute, every second of going through it just makes you suffer and feel like breaking out but you can't cause you then realise that this is reality, you cannot just give up on everything because life is still going to go on even if you choose to give up on it. Whether or not you can pull through, you still have to put that fake mask on to show everyone that you're perfectly fine although deep inside you feel like breaking down. We just get caught in the rush that hides this pain and thus we choose to get caught in the storm.
